Niobium targets are widely used in LCD flat panel displays, optical lenses, electronic imaging, information storage, solar cells, glass coatings, and other optoelectronic products, as well as in shipping, chemical, and other corrosive environments.
In order to reduce the pores in the material and improve the performance of the sputtered film, a higher density target is usually required. Density not only affects the sputtering rate but also affects the electrical and optical properties of the film. The higher the target density, the better the film performance.
